TATTOO AFTERCARE

After your tattoo is finished, it will be covered with a special sterile (medical) foil which provides for a quicker healing time. The foil can be removed after 48 hours, i.e., after three nights.

After removing the foil, you should wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and antibacterial soap. Dry it gently with a paper towel and cover with ointment ( Bepanthen plus ). Let the tattoo breathe as much as possible.

The tattoo has to be cleaned every morning. For the next 2‒3 days use the ointment two to three times a day. The layer of ointment should be as thin as possible.

The tattoo should be touched and handled only with clean hands.

Wear clean, light and loose cotton clothing. The skin should be able to breathe and the clothing should not rub against the tattoo. In case the tattoo gets stuck to a clothing, you should dampen it under running water and carefully remove the clothing.

After a few days, itching will occur. THAT IS NORMAL. Do not scratch or rub the tattoo.

Do not soak the tattoo while showering.

Do not wrap the tattoo with a gauze/band aid!

Stay away from sauna, wellness, and swimming pools for two weeks after being inked.

Do not expose your skin to direct sunlight. Do not visit tanning salons.

Later on, always protect the tattoo with high sun protection factor when in sun or solarium (use 50+ UV filter). We advise against any sun protection in the form of spray or oil.
